Guys, good morning. I hope you liked the clip above. It’s from my new 30-minute talk show, The Last Stop, which just launched today on YouTube. The full episode is below and features New York Magazine art critic Jerry Saltz, author Brenda Cullerton and comedians Ian Fidance and Neel Ghosh.
This is…The Last Stop
Episode One: Baby Boomers have ruined the world..it's time for REVENGE!
Have Baby Boomers really ruined the world? Is it time to institute some new rules to level the playing field for the rest of us? Should mandatory military service be required after people turn 65 years old? Perhaps it's time we start revoking Boomer rights or, at the very least, subjecting them to a sort of old-people squid game challenge. Millennials are pissed off. Gen Z is pissed off. Gen X is pissed off. This is intergenerational warfare at its finest!
What is the new format?
As GQ best put it, “Each episode (of SubwayTakes) delivers absurdity and delusion, but also flashes of real wisdom and tenderness.” The Last Stop is an expanded 30-minute talk show that will continue to harness this same unique balance that made SubwayTakes an immediate viral sensation.
In each episode of The Last Stop, previous SubwayTakes guests will defend, discuss and potentially double-down on their original takes (here’s the anti-boomer take) with a panel of similarly unhinged personalities, all while Kareem continues to oversee this chaotic symphony like a maestro.
How can you support the show?
I’ve never launched a YouTube show before, but I think this is what I could use help with.
Please watch the episode here, like, comment, and share it. I think that’s how things go viral, but I do not know. But I think that’s right.
If you write on Substack, include it in your links roundup, ping me, and I’ll reshare it. Big shouts to two of my favorite Substackers,
and , for already including the show in their letters today. If you work for a publication, hit me up for an interview. Love you.
If you host a podcast, I’ll be a guest. MAYBE.
If you have any other ideas, LMK.
Whatever it takes, man. We’re making indie TV over here!
Subscribe to the YouTube channel. Follow The Last Stop on TikTok and Instagram.
A special shout-out to our presenting sponsor, Recess! I love this team. They’ve supported my crazy ideas for years, and it’s truly awesome to work with a company so committed to cultivating great relationships with local talent.
Alright, ya’ll. Wish me luck.
